My Homage to Poets
Some people say i'm an excellent poet,
But those people don't even know it.
I write from my mind!
With rhymes)
That others consider cliché or corny
(But that's just their idea of boring.
I write what I know,
And I know what I write.
I don't wrap it in a bow;
I just take a bite.
So if you like this act of treason
You don't have to leave a reason
Just pull up a chair}
That is if you dare.
{And give my poems another listen.

So I was bored one day and wrote this, as my Homage to the poets that have influenced me the most over my life. Some of these poets are e. e. cummings, Shel Silverstein, and Dr. Seuss just to name a few that I focused on in this poem.
Its also the poem I put in the front of each one of my notebooks as a title page of sorts.
